Project summaries
Gradly
A research paper becomes a series of decisions: make a claim, explain your thinking, then see what the evidence supports.
Built for: Students learning to read research critically
Role: Frontend Developer
Period: October 2026
Being told to read the literature does not teach you how to judge it. A summary can tell you what a paper says while skipping the harder questions: what can this design establish, which explanation fits, and where does the evidence stop?
We built Gradly around those decisions. A learner uploads a paper or opens one of 53 prepared studies, reads a short briefing and works through evidence-linked challenges. Visual comparisons, hints and explanations help them reason about the study before its findings and identity are revealed.
For uploaded papers, the server extracts the text, offers it for review and asks for consent before AI preparation. Six role-based stages use NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Super through Nebius Token Factory; a seventh stage checks quotes and references in code. Uploaded lessons keep answer keys on the server, while the prepared library uses authored content.

BetterCalatagan
An independent civic portal for Calatagan, Batangas: every statistic published is backed by a government source, and the build fails automatically if it is not.
Built for: The people of Calatagan, Batangas — and anyone seeking public records with verified provenance
Role: Creator & Lead Maintainer
Period: October 2026 – Present
Local government information in the Philippines is scattered across agency portals — some of them dead — published without sources, and difficult to verify. There was no single place where a resident of Calatagan could read a figure about their municipality and know exactly where it came from.
I built an independent civic portal covering 44 pages, 25 barangays, and 10 machine-readable datasets spanning PSA, DILG, and DPWH records. Every figure requires a traceable primary government source, enforced by 313 automated tests in CI. Built on Astro with plain CSS for zero-JS speed, it features an interactive 3D terrain map, an in-site document reader, and a grounded AI assistant on Cloudflare Workers with code-level numeric verification.

Clipper
Turns a long video into a set of ranked, captioned vertical shorts, ready to post.
Built for: Creators and clippers who cut long videos into short vertical posts
Role: Creator & Maintainer
Period: October 2026 – Present
Cutting a one-hour talk into good shorts by hand takes hours: find the moments, crop for a phone, caption every word, check each one. Paid tools do it, but they charge every month and you cannot see or change how they choose.
I built a pipeline that does the whole job on your own computer. It listens to the video, asks an AI to pick the moments worth keeping, frames each one for a phone, and adds captions that light up word by word. It then scores how strongly each clip opens and numbers them best-first, with a report saying why each was chosen. It handles talks, fast-cut trailers and gameplay differently, and works on Windows, Mac and Linux, by itself or driven by an AI assistant that follows the same written rules.

Hermes Discord Rich Presence
From prototype to upstream: how my own experiment became a privacy fix merged into someone else's plugin, a safer default it now ships, and a lifecycle fix proposed to Hermes itself.
Built for: Hermes Agent's community Discord plugin, maintained by DarRahman, and Hermes Agent itself
Role: Contributor — hermes-discord-presence · Hermes Agent core contributor
Period: September 2026
I wanted Discord to show what my AI agent was doing — thinking, using a tool, which model — without giving away what I was working on. A status line looks harmless, but a session title alone can reveal a project. The real question was what an agent should reveal at all.
I built my own version first, which taught me where the hard parts were. Then I found that the community already had an established plugin. Instead of publishing a competitor, I used my version as a reference to check theirs: I reproduced every suspected problem, threw out the ones that did not hold up, and sent the maintainer a small, tested fix for the one that mattered most.

SapinSapin AI
Volunteer work on an open Philippine-language AI initiative: parts of its public site and speech demo, and Sappy, the assistant I created to answer questions about the project in people's own language.
Built for: SapinSapin AI, an open-source community initiative for Philippine-language AI, founded by Tim Santos
Role: Creator & AI Systems Engineer — Sappy · Designer & Front-End Developer — SapinSapin AI public site
Period: August 2026 – Present
SapinSapin AI publishes its datasets and models in a technical catalogue that mostly researchers can read. Newcomers needed a way in that a curious visitor could follow, and as the community grew, its volunteers kept answering the same questions by hand, in Discord and elsewhere.
I started on the public site: designing and building parts of it, including a demo that recognises speech and reads text aloud, straight from the browser, with every catalogue figure re-pulled from the live source on each rebuild. Then I created Sappy. When someone asks a question, Sappy first looks up the relevant passages in a knowledge base I prepared and keep up to date — one that separates confirmed facts from experiments and claims nobody has checked yet — and only then writes an answer from them. The same Sappy answers on the website and in the project's Discord, where I also designed how newcomers join: introduce yourself, get the Member role, and the rest of the server opens up.

Condo Management System
A management system for a condominium: an admin side for the office, and a private portal where residents see their own bills and requests.
Built for: Telectronic Systems Inc. (TSI) and their condominium client
Role: Full-Stack Developer
Period: Feb 2026 – Apr 2026
Billing, service requests and occupancy records lived in scattered files. The office could not see the whole picture at once, and residents had no way to check a balance or chase a request without phoning someone.
I ran the interviews, wrote the requirements, and pitched the system to the CEO before building it. The office got an admin system covering billing, service requests and occupancy. Residents got a separate mobile-friendly portal, secured with their own login, that shows only their own information. Payment receipts uploaded by a resident land in the office's records automatically.

TrabahoLens
An interactive map of more than 500 Philippine occupations, showing which are most exposed to AI and why.
Built for: Researchers, policymakers, and anyone wondering how AI affects Philippine jobs
Role: Founder & Lead Developer
Period: April 2026
Most reporting on AI and jobs is written about American work. It transfers badly to the Philippines, where overseas employment and a large informal economy change which jobs are actually at risk.
I mapped over 500 occupations to Philippine job classifications, with local wage, employment and informality estimates attached. Each was scored for AI exposure against conditions specific to the country — overseas work, the informal sector, gig platforms, infrastructure. The result is an explorable map you can view by exposure, wage, education, hiring demand, overseas concentration or informal share.

PisoLens
Free calculators that show what inflation has done to your salary, your savings, and the peso in your pocket.
Built for: Filipinos trying to work out what their money is really worth
Role: Lead Developer
Period: March 2026
Inflation figures get reported as a percentage that means nothing on its own. Most people want the concrete answer: is my raise actually a raise, and what has my money lost?
Six calculators, each answering one question in pesos rather than percentages — purchasing power, salary, a raise, savings erosion, a wealth projection, and a timeline. They run on official Philippine price data. Every calculation happens on your own device: nothing is uploaded, and there is no account to create.

Research Archive
One search box across four major academic databases, instead of four separate searches.
Built for: Students and researchers doing literature reviews
Role: Lead Developer
Period: March 2026
Researchers repeat the same search across several sites, then manually strip out the duplicates that appear in more than one. It is tedious work that has nothing to do with the research itself.
The site searches four major sources at once and merges the results, removing anything that turns up twice. Saved papers live in your own browser rather than on an account, so there is nothing to sign up for and nothing collected about you. Citations export in one click.

Valley O'Ville AI Operations Agent
An AI agent the resort is run from, in Telegram: bookings, payments, rates, guest replies, hiring and Facebook posts, with nothing saved until a person says yes. It now also answers guests' questions through a chatbot on the resort's website, and reads the resort's Gmail to run hiring end-to-end.
Built for: Valley O'Ville Family Resort — the people running it day to day
Role: AI Systems Engineer
Period: February 2026 – Present
Running the resort meant keeping one official booking record right across a spreadsheet, a calendar and guest folders, while also quoting rates, chasing payments, answering guests and keeping the Facebook Page alive. Every one of those was a separate place to check by hand, and a missed step meant a double booking, a wrong balance or a guest left waiting.
It started in February 2026 as a simple Telegram bot that filed bookings. In September I rebuilt it as a full operations agent. Staff ask it things the way they would ask a colleague, and it answers from the live booking record, not from memory. When something needs to change — a new booking, a payment, a date move — it first shows exactly what will change, money before and after included, and only saves after someone replies yes. The same booking rules also sit behind a simple Book button app inside Telegram, so a form and a conversation can never disagree. Guest messages are drafts for a person to send, and Facebook posts go out only after an explicit confirm. In October 2026 the agent's reach widened to the resort's Gmail: it now finds and labels every job application, reads each resume in whatever format it arrives, cross-verifies every extracted fact against the resume itself, and maintains a scored hiring tracker in Sheets with the resumes filed in Drive. Later that month it moved to an always-on cloud server, so it keeps working when my laptop is closed, and it backs itself up every night.

Public APIs Registry
A searchable directory of free data services, with a built-in way to try each one before committing to it.
Built for: Developers looking for free data services to build with
Role: Lead Developer
Period: December 2025 – Present
Lists of free data services go stale. Half the entries are dead by the time you find them, and there is no way to test one without writing code first.
I built a curated directory of more than sixty services, each testable directly in the page. A keyboard shortcut opens instant search, and filters narrow by category, cost and whether a key is required. An automated check runs every day and flags anything that has gone offline, so the list stays honest.

AWS Cloud Practitioner Reviewer
A free practice-question site for a cloud certification exam, with a mode where you can compete against someone else.
Built for: People studying for the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam
Role: Full-Stack Developer
Period: November 2025
Practice material for this exam is either expensive or slow and cluttered. Someone studying after work wants a question, an answer, and the reason behind it — quickly.
I built a stripped-back study site: 400-plus practice questions, each with an explanation of why the answer is right. There is a multiplayer mode with live scoring and a leaderboard for people who study better against a friend. Everything runs in the browser, so it stays fast and costs almost nothing to keep online.

Project Aqua
An ESP32 prototype that reads three water sensor signals and shares them through Arduino IoT Cloud and ESP-NOW.
Built for: University IoT coursework · May 2025
Role: Coursework team member
Period: May 2025 · IoT coursework
A water-monitoring exercise needs more than three isolated sensor readings: the values must be sampled, interpreted, and sent somewhere a separate device or dashboard can use them. Project Aqua was our coursework prototype for that connected path.
We wired analog turbidity, TDS, and pH inputs to an ESP32 and wrote Arduino firmware to read and process them. Every five seconds it updates three Arduino IoT Cloud properties and sends a matching three-float packet to an ESP-NOW peer. Serial output helps inspect raw readings and send status. The source leaves sensor calibration to the actual hardware and reference solutions.

AUXILIARE
A platform where Filipino founders pitch by video and investors find them — matched by what each side is actually looking for.
Built for: Filipino startup founders raising money, and investors looking for ventures
Role: Research & Development (R&D) Lead
Period: June 2024 – June 2026
Founders with a good business could not find investors, and investors could not find credible founders. Both sides were relying on who they happened to know. There was no shared, trustworthy place for the two to meet.
Founders record a short video pitch and set out what they are looking for. Investors browse, filter and watch. When both sides are a fit, they connect and message inside the platform. Identities are verified and content is reviewed, so investors are not sifting through noise. The three of us built it over two years, taking it from idea through to a working, tested platform.
The build that is public now is a front-end demo tour: the real screens and the flow through them, with no live database, accounts, or matching behind it.

Valley O'Ville Resort Website
The resort's official website — the first place guests could find it, look around, and decide to book.
Built for: Valley O'Ville Family Resort — a private resort in Calatagan, Batangas
Role: Developer
Period: 2023 – Present
The resort had no website. Guests found it by word of mouth or not at all, and every enquiry started from scratch because there was nowhere to send people to see the place first.
I designed and built the resort's public site from nothing: the photos, the wording, the layout, and the hosting. It was built for phones first, because that is what guests actually browse on, and made to load quickly on a slow connection. The site became one part of a wider push to move the resort's operations off paper.

Ginger & Oregano as a Natural Repellent
A controlled test of whether a homemade ginger-and-oregano spray repels cockroaches as well as a shop-bought one.
Built for: Senior high school research, Grade 12
Role: Experimental Researcher
Period: Grade 12, AY 2021–2022
Commercial repellents work but carry safety and cost concerns for households. Whether a plant-based alternative actually performs was an open question locally.
We made the extract, tested it against a commercial product under the same conditions, and had twenty participants record what they observed. The results were then tested statistically rather than judged by impression.

Anime Exposure & Academic Performance
A study checking whether how much anime a student watches has any real bearing on their grades.
Built for: Senior high school research, Grade 12
Role: Quantitative Researcher
Period: Grade 12, AY 2021–2022
The assumption that the two are linked is repeated often and tested rarely. It was worth checking rather than accepting.
Thirty-five students were surveyed, and the relationship between viewing hours and academic results was tested statistically. The honest finding was a weak link that did not hold up as significant — reported as it was, not as expected.

Unaddressed Toxic Filipino Culture
A study of how colourism affects dark-skinned Filipinos, told through their own accounts.
Built for: Senior high school research, Grade 11
Role: Researcher
Period: Grade 11, AY 2020–2021
Colourism in the Philippines is widely recognised and rarely documented. The people living with it are seldom the ones asked about it.
Rather than a survey, we collected participants' own stories and analysed the patterns that recurred across them — the impact on wellbeing, how people coped, and what in their surroundings reinforced it.
