The situation

Cutting a one-hour talk into good shorts by hand takes hours: find the moments, crop for a phone, caption every word, check each one. Paid tools do it, but they charge every month and you cannot see or change how they choose.

What I built

I built a pipeline that does the whole job on your own computer. It listens to the video, asks an AI to pick the moments worth keeping, frames each one for a phone, and adds captions that light up word by word. It then scores how strongly each clip opens and numbers them best-first, with a report saying why each was chosen. It handles talks, fast-cut trailers and gameplay differently, and works on Windows, Mac and Linux, by itself or driven by an AI assistant that follows the same written rules.

Built by me and released in October 2026. It began on a call with Zeus, who works in clipping, when I saw the work could be automated. Zeus is credited as a contributor on GitHub. Checked on Windows and Linux by an automated test on every change.

What it lets people do

  1. 01Give it a file or a YouTube link and get up to ten ready-to-post clips, best first
  2. 02Captions that light up exactly as each word is spoken, and none while the speaker is silent
  3. 03Clips framed for a phone: follows a face, stacks two speakers, or shows wide shots whole
  4. 04Re-edits a trailer into three new shorts with a hook, a build and a payoff
  5. 05Learns from a channel's top Shorts so new clips open the way winning ones do

Under the hood

The tools this is built with. You do not need to know any of them to use it — open one if you are curious what it does.

How a project goes
  1. We talk about the problem

Not the software — the problem. What is slow, what gets forgotten, what people keep having to redo by hand. Usually one call is enough to see the shape of it.

  2. I write down what I heard

In plain language, before any building starts, so you can correct me while it is still cheap to correct. You approve it or you don't.

  3. You see it early and often

Working pieces, not screenshots or promises. If something is wrong, you say so while there is still time to change it.

  4. It goes live and stays supported

Hosting, domain and setup handled. The Valley O'Ville site has been running since 2023 — I don't disappear after launch.
